Jon Melgaard is the founder and CEO of Hand-Off. He has 10 years experience as an event producer, having managed over 1,000 speakers and over 200 hours of programming. He spent five years as a producer for the world renowned Aspen Ideas Festival, where he intimately learned about the pain points that come with producing events of all sizes.

After leaving the Institute and producing events for several other organizations, he quickly realized that the event-related challenges faced by the Aspen Ideas team are far from unique. Teams everywhere rely on outdated, cumbersome workflows involving Google Docs, spreadsheets, and various incompatible tools.
